Think local. Thank local.

I'm very excited about the plaid friday campaign. I've always believed in supporting my local independent businesses. So, this black friday, I will be sporting a cute plaid scarf (baby, it's cold outside) and giving my precious dollars to independent shop owners. How can you participate? Whether you're buying holiday cards, earrings, clothing, art or unique handcrafted items, reserve 10% - 15% of your holiday shopping budget and support the independent shop owners in your town. They will thank you and you'll be moved up a few spaces on Santa's nice list. :)

Have a wonderful, and safe, holiday season!

Spaces I love.

I'm adoring these lovely spaces. I think I might have a thing for orange and green...and that room for the little one...if only to be small again. Lovin' it!

Quiet.

A hot cup of coffee (later, tea) and getting lost in a lovely read. The perfect way to idle away quiet hours on a rainy autumn day.

Have a wonderful, blessed weekend. :)

For the love of books.

(T.F. Simonvilma, Reading a Book, 1912)

Books are the quietest and most constant of friends; they are the most accessible and wisest of counselors, and the most patient of teachers. ~Charles W. Elliot
